I Need Strength

Joshua 11:23

So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

Persistence wins the war. Keep taking ground — rest comes after the battles are fought.

Matthew 11:28

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Come unto Him. You don't have to clean up first — His yoke is how you get cleaned up.

Judges 14:14

And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

Small compromises in who you link your life to lead to big consequences. Choose your company carefully.

Judges 15:18

And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?

Even the strongest still need water. Don't mistake your gifting for self-sufficiency — God is your source.

1 Samuel 23:16

And Jonathan Saul’s son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.

When you're running, keep inquiring of God. And never underestimate a friend who helps you find your courage again.

1 Kings 2:3

And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:

Legacy is what you charge the next generation with. Speak the Word over them while you still can.

2 Chronicles 11:16

And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.

God gathers the faithful to strength. Stay faithful — others will come stand with you.

2 Chronicles 17:9

And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.

Teach the Word widely. A land full of Bible teachers becomes a land full of God's favor.
