Noah

Every imagination of the thoughts of man's heart was only evil continually, and it grieved God at His heart that He had made man. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. He was told to build an ark of gopher wood, three hundred cubits long, with rooms and pitch inside and out, and he did according to all that God commanded him. There was no rain in the forecast and no sea to sail on, and he built anyway, and Peter later called him a preacher of righteousness, so he was talking the whole time. The animals came, God shut him in, and the fountains of the great deep broke up. He and seven others floated over a drowned world for months, and he sent out a raven and then a dove until she came back with an olive leaf in her mouth. When they came out he built an altar, and God set the bow in the cloud.

Why It Matters

Obeying God when nothing has happened yet is its own kind of faith. Keep building what He told you to build, even if you are the only one who sees why.
