I Feel Afraid

Genesis 7:16

And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

God Himself closed the door. When He shuts you in to something, He is also shutting out the storm.

Matthew 10:8

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

What you received for free, pass on for free. And don't fear those who can only touch your body — your soul is safe with God.

Genesis 12:1

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

Faith starts with one step out the door. You don't need the whole map — just the voice of the One calling.

Mark 4:39

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

The same voice that stilled the sea is speaking peace over your storm. Listen.

Genesis 20:6

And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

Even when we fail, God protects what He has promised. His plans don't rise or fall on our perfect performance.

Genesis 31:3

And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.

When God says go, go. He will make the road behind you as safe as the road ahead.

Genesis 32:26

And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Some blessings only come after the limp. God would rather you wrestle with Him than walk away from Him.

Genesis 33:4

And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.

The reunion you dread may become the one you cherish. Sometimes the enemy in your imagination was already ready to forgive.
