I Feel Out of Control

Genesis 22:14

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

On the mountain of surrender, God will provide. What He asks of you, He has already prepared Himself to give.

Leviticus 1:9

But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

Surrender is the fragrance God loves. Nothing held back means nothing withheld from His blessing.

1 Samuel 8:7

And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

Be careful what you demand from God. Sometimes the costliest answer is "yes."

1 Samuel 31:4

Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

A life without surrender to God ends in tragedy no matter how it starts. Surrender while there's still time.

2 Chronicles 3:1

Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

God builds His house on mountains of surrender. Your Moriah may become His dwelling place.

Job 41:10

None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

The Creator is beyond your control — and that is a comfort, not a threat. The One beyond you is also for you.

Matthew 26:39

And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

In your Gethsemane, pray like Jesus. "Not my will, but thine." There's no higher prayer.

Luke 22:42

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Not my will, but Thine. Let that be the prayer of your hardest hour.
